Structure of Conditionals

a) Zero Conditional:

If+ condition(simple present)+ result(simple present)
Example:

If you don't do your homework, you can't go out with your friends

And also result+if+condition: You can't go out with your friends if you don't do your homework

b) First Conditional:

If+ condition(present simple)+ result(will+base verb)
Example:

If I go to bed late, I'll be late tomorow

And also result+if+condition: I'll be late tomorrow if I go to bed late

c) Second Conditional:

If+condition(past simple)+ result(would+base verb)
Example:

If I went to Brazil, I would learn how to dance samba

And also result+if+condition: I would learn how to dance samba if I went to Brazil.

d) Third Conditional:

If+condition(past perfect)+result(would have+past participle)
Example:

If you had studied for your test, you would have gotten a good grade in it.

And also result+if+condition: You would have gotten a good grade in the test if you had studied for it
